Ghanchakkar is an upcoming Bollywood comedy thriller film directed by Rajkumar Gupta and produced by Ronnie Screwvala & Siddharth Roy Kapur from UTV Motion Pictures. The film features Emraan Hashmi opposite Vidya Balan in the lead. It is expected to release on 28th June 2013. The theatrical trailer unveiled on 28th March 2013, attached with Himmatwala.
When Sanju (Emraan Hashmi), a master safe cracker wants to retire , he decides to team up with two dangerous criminals to commit one last job. A bank robbery that will ensure that he never has to worry about money again. The robbery is successful and everything goes according to plan. Sanju is given the task of hiding the money till things cool down and the money can be split. Three months later, the associates return to collect their share of the loot, but Sanju didn’t even recognize them. They realize he enrolled into an accident and is suffering from strong amnesia and decide to stay with Sanju and his wife Neetu (Vidya Balan) until Sanju remembers where he hid the money. Ghanchakkar is a crazy, rollercoaster suspense ride that aims to surprise, and entertain the audience at every moment.
Vidya Balan is an Indian film actress who appears in Hindi and Bengali language films. At age sixteen, Vidya had her first acting role, in Hum Paanch (1995). After making several unsuccessful attempts to start a career in film, she acted in television commercials and music videos. In 2003, she made her feature film debut with the Bengali drama Bhalo Theko.
